Cabinet approves agreement with Peru

New Delhi, June 13 (IANS) The Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Wednesday approved an agreement aimed at promoting technical cooperation on new and renewable issues with Peru, an official statement said.

The agreement, signed in Lima in May, "aims to establish the basis for a cooperative institutional relationship to encourage and promote technical bilateral cooperation on new and renewable issues on the basis of mutual benefit equality and reciprocity", it said.

The agreement also envisages establishing a joint committee to develop work plans in order to implement it, the statement added.
