Kovind to visit Siachen base camp on Thursday

New Delhi, May 9 (IANS) President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Siachen Base Camp on Thursday and interact with the soldiers posted there, said a Rashtrapati Bhavan communique.

Kovind will be the first President to visit the camp since the visit of the then President A.P. J. Abdul Kalam in 2004.

"The President will also visit the Kumar Post," it added.
