InterGlobe Aviation appoints Bhati as interim CEO

New Delhi, April 27 (IANS) InterGlobe Aviation, which runs the budget passenger carrier IndiGo, on Friday announced the appointment of Rahul Bhatia as its interim Chief Executive Officer.

As per a company statement, the development comes after Aditya Ghosh resigned from the post of President of IndiGo effective July 31, 2018 and as a Director of the company with effect from April 26, 2018.

"Rahul will continue as a Director of the company. The company also announced the appointment of Gregory Taylor as senior advisor to the company reporting directly to Rahul," InterGlobe Aviation said in a statement.

According to the statement, in the coming months, its Board will consider Taylor's appointment as President and CEO of the company, subject to receiving the necessary regulatory approvals and paperwork.
