A 22-year-old woman who worked as a tele-caller in a showroom at Peeragarhi was familiar with the procedure of companies.
She had records of car owners who used pick and drop facility for their vehicles and she would call these persons using fake phone numbers, the police said.
Davendra Prasad, 27, used to visit the car owners posing himself as the company's executive. He worked as a finance consultant of a bank with another showroom.
They were arrested from Ring Road. "We have recovered a K10 Car, six mobiles phones and a stolen motorcycle from their possession," Deputy Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar said.
