Seven Maoists held in Chhattisgarh

Jagdalpur, March 29 (IANS) Seven Maoists involved in a November 2017 blast were arrested on Thursday, Chhattisgarh Police said.

Bastar Inspector General of Police Vivekanand Sinha said that a team led by Bhadrakali police station incharge Rameshwar Deshmukh arrested Nillaya Matti, Matti Kantaiya, Tailam Shankar, Miccha Ganesh and Dubba Sammeya following a tip-off in Poshanpalliya Bamanpur.

These Maoists were allegedly involved in an IED blast on November 7 last year on the Tarlaguda road in Bijapur.

In a separate case, Podiyami Kosa and Hadma Sodi were arrested in Sukma district. Kosa carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head.
