Titled "Sajan Saan Rooh Rihaniyoon", the cultural event, which is being organised by the Delhi government's Sindhi Academy, will be held at the Kamani Auditorium on December 16.
The first performance of the evening will be of Kathak and Sufi music presented by the senior disciples of Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Rani Karnaa. The troupe will be then deliver six more performances based on different themes of the classical dance form like Leela Chanesar' which is based on the story of king Chanesar and his wife Leela. This will be followed by 'Shumaar', 'Raqs', 'Naale Alakh' 'Kiyarijhaya' and 'Tarana'.
"Sindhi art and culture is a valuable part of Delhi's culture. Programmes like this are a great way of bringing forth the best of Sindhi tradition to a new audience. With a talented new Sindhi Academy committee in place, the Delhi Government hopes to present and develop quality Sindhi programmes," Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister, Delhi said in a statement.
