Fire at Chandni Chowk shop, no casualty reported

New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) A fire broke out on Wednesday at a shop selling bags in the Chandni Chowk market in Old Delhi area, which was doused by eight fire tenders, a Delhi Fire Service officer said.

No casualty was reported though the extent of losses is yet to be known.

"A call was received at 5.40 p.m. regarding the fire on the Naya Katra road. The fire spread to some adjoining shops as well, but it was later doused. Cooling operation is underway," the officer added.
