Beijing said the economic sanctions imposed on more than 10 Chinese and Russian entities and individuals by the US Treasury Department on Tuesday will not help resolve the crisis on the Korean Peninsula, Efe news reported.
"China opposes unilateral sanctions out of the UN Security Council framework, especially the 'long-arm jurisdiction' over Chinese entities and individuals exercised by any country in accordance with its domestic laws," said Chinese Foreign Ministry's spokesperson Hua Chunying at a press briefing.
"We strongly urge the US to immediately correct its mistake, so as not to impact bilateral cooperation on relevant issues," she added.
