Mumbai, July 27 (IANS) Creating yet another record on the domestic bourses, the NSE Nifty50 breached the 10,100-mark during the mid-afternoon trade session on Thursday.
At 12.21 p.m., the wider Nifty50 of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) traded higher by 79.65 points or 0.79 per cent at 10,100.30 points.
The other benchmark index -- the BSE Sensex -- too, surged over 250 points.
The Sensex traded at 32,639.84 points -- up 257.38 points or 0.79 per cent -- from its Wednesday's close at 32,382.46 points.
According to market observers, healthy quarterly results, coupled with positive global cues and intense buying activities witnessed in banking, finance and automobile stocks, buoyed investors' sentiments.
