Litterateurs to discuss genres of writing at NBT seminar

New Delhi, July 27 (IANS) Eminent authors, poets and thinkers will discuss the idea of nationalism and how it has impacted various genres of writing at an upcoming seminar "Bhartiya Sahitya Me Rashtriyata Ka Bodh", said an official on Thursday.

The two-day seminar, to be organised by the National Book Trust (NBT) on August 1-2, 2017, at the India International Centre (IIC), would form part of its 60th Foundation Day celebrations.

The genres of writing to be discussed at the seminar would include creative literature, children's literature, tribal literature, folk literature and women's writings.

The seminar will see participation of personalities like Sonal Mansigh, Advaita Kala, Makarand Paranjape, Vishwanath Prasad Tiwari, Krishna Kumar Asthana, Kamal Kishore Goenka, Nand Kishore Pandey, Devendra Deepak, Malati Joshi, Yatinder Mishra, Narendra Kohli and others.

A photography exhibition, titled "This Is No Looking Back", will also be organised to showcase NBT's journey of 60 years and highlight recent achievements. An exhibition of NBT books will also be held during the two-day event.

Besides, NBT, through its National Centre for Children's Literature (NCCL), will also be holding story-telling sessions "Readathon" in the Delhi Public Library at Sarojini Nagar and Chandi Chowk.
