Chennai, July 26 (IANS) Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam on Wednesday thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for accepting his request to issue a commemorative coin on the birth centenary of AIADMK founder and late Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran (MGR).
In a statement issued here, Panneerselvam said the Union Finance Ministry has informed him that the Centre was accepting his request and has agreed to issue the coin with MGR's image.
Panneerselvam ade the request in January.
