New Delhi, June 6 (IANS) It was a hot Tuesday morning in the national capital as the minimum temperature rose seven notches above the season's average and was recorded at 34.2 degrees Celsius.
"The sky would remain partly cloudy throughout the day. There is possibility of rain, thunderstorm or dust storm in the evening or night," an official from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told IANS.
The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 44 degrees Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 41 per cent.
Delhi residents suffered under a searing sun on Monday as the mercury touched 44.6 degrees Celsius, four notches above the normal. Even the minimum temperature was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average.
