CRPF chif visits Sumbal camp to decorate men who foiled terror attack

Srinagar, June 6 (IANS) CRPF Director General R.R. Bhatnagar on Tuesday visited the Sumbal camp of the force's 45th Battalion in Jammu and Kashmir to commend and decorate troopers who foiled a suicide attack, a statement said.

Accompanied by state Director General of Police S.P. Vaid, Inspector General, Kashmir zone, Muneer Khan, other senior officers of Central Reserve Police Force and state police, Bhatnagar personally commended the paramilitary troopers and officers as well as state police personnel whose exemplary alertness foiled a suicide attack at the camp on Monday as they killed all the four foreign terrorists.

This is the first suicide attack in Kashmir in which the fidayeen attackers failed to cause any damage to the security forces.

The CPRF statement issued by the CRPF said today, "DG visited camp of 45 Bn to congratulate jawans and award commendation disks for their gallant action while neutralizing terrorists."
