Bangladesh Deputy High Commission gets threat mail

Kolkata, May 12 (IANS) The Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, which received a threat mail over a week ago, has intimated the Branch Secretariat of the Ministry of External Affairs here, Deputy High Commissioner Zokey Ahad said on Friday.

"We have received something of that sort. We have informed the branch secretariat of the MEA and so it means we have informed the Centre," Ahad told IANS when asked on reports of a purported threat/terror mail received by the Commission recently.

"It was at least a week ago," he said.

He said the West Bengal government is also in the know.
