Shuttlers Vighnesh, Saurabh clinch All India senior doubles meet


Kolkata, March 18 (IANS) Second seeds Vighnesh Devlekar of Air India and partner Saurabh Sharma beat star shuttlers Chetan Anand and V. Diju in the final to win the Rs two lakh Bishnupriya Kundu Memorial All India senior doubles ranking badminton tournament here on Saturday.

The duo won in straight games with a scoreline of 21-15, 27-25.

In the women's doubles section, number one seeds Agna Anto and Sneha Santhilal clinched a close contest 21-19, 21-18 over Dhanya Nair and Ashna Roy.

The mixed doubles category saw Devlekar team up with Harika V. to come back from a opening game setback and win 16-21, 24-22, 21-9 against Saurabh and Anoushka Parikh.
