Ludhiana, March 4 (IANS) High-flying Minerva Punjab FC will look to continue their six-match unbeaten run when they take on struggling defending champions Bengaluru FC in an I-League football game at the Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.
Minerva, who shared spoils when the two sides last met in Bengaluru, have not lost in the last six games while their rivals are yet to register a win in their last seven encounters.
"We have drawn against Bengaluru FC at their fortress and Sunday's game is very important for us and all three points are very crucial for us," Minerva coach Surinder Singh said.
"Tomorrow is an important game for us and we are definitely going for the win," Bengaluru FC coach Albert Roca said.
Bengaluru roped in Serbian striker Marjan Jugovic, to their squad recently.
"In our recent games, we have had most of the possession, but we failed to score and we have missed our chances. Jugovic is here to help the team and we will make our changes to the squad such that it earns us points," the Spaniard said about his new acquisition.
Bengaluru are fifth in the table with 13 points from 10 games while Minerva are just a rung below them at sixth having 11 points from the same number of matches.
