Washington, Feb 6 (IANS) US President Donald Trump congratulated the New England Patriots team for their win over the Atlanta Falcons at the Super Bowl, the annual American football championship game, the media reported.
"What an amazing comeback and win by the Patriots. Tom Brady, Bob Kraft and Coach B (Bill Bellichick) are total winners. Wow!" Trump tweeted late Sunday.
The Patriots stormed back from 25 points down to beat the Falcons in the Super Bowl's first ever overtime. New England scored 19 points in the fourth quarter alone.
Trump told Fox News in an exclusive interview that the Patriots would win by eight points. Trump also has a reported friendship with Brady and Patriots' owner Robert Kraft.
"I like (Patriots owner) Bob Kraft, I like Coach Bellichick, and Tom Brady's my friend," said Trump, who later added, "Tom's a winner".
