Goa assembly to pass GST bill on August 31

Panaji, Aug 24 (IANS) The Goa assembly has been convened for a special one-day session on August 31, to ratify the Goods and Services Tax (GST) bill that parliament passed earlier this month.

"The session will be held on August 31. It will be for a day only to ratify the GST bill, which was passed by parliament ," assembly Secretary Nikanth Haldankar told reporters here.

This will be the last assembly session meets before Goa goes to the polls in early 2017.
