Two more dengue deaths, 300 fresh cases in Bengal

Kolkata, Aug 22 (IANS) Two more dengue deaths were reported and 300 fresh cases of the mosquito-borne disease reported in the last two days, a senior health official said on Monday.

According to state director of health services Biswaranjan Satpathy, the 300 fresh cases takes the total number of cases to over 4,500, while the death toll now stands at 22.

Of the two fresh deaths, one took place in Howrah district and another in South 24 Parganas district.
