Wockhardt posts over Rs.16 crore net profit

Chennai, Aug 13 (IANS) Pharmaceutical major Wockhardt Ltd on Saturday announced that it closed the first quarter of the current fiscal with a net profit of Rs.16.33 crore.

In a regulatory filing in BSE, the company said it has posted a net profit of Rs.16.33 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016 as compared to net loss of Rs.31.44 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

The company's total income for the period under review went up to Rs.631.80 crore from Rs.522 crore earned during the comparable quarter the previous fiscal.
