ICICI Bank’s Q1 net down to Rs.2,232 crore

Chennai, July 29 (IANS) ICICI Bank Ltd on Friday said it posted a net profit of Rs 2,232.35 crore for the first quarter of fiscal year 2016-17, down by Rs 743.81 crore than what it earned in the first quarter of 2015-16.

In a regulatory filing with the BSE, the bank said it has posted a net profit of Rs 2,232.35 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2016, as compared to Rs 2,976.16 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.

The bank's total income during the period under review has increased from Rs 15,802.45 crore in 2015 to Rs 16,759.51 crore in 2016.
