Rajya Sabha adjourned till Wednesday

New Delhi, July 26 (IANS) The Rajya Sabha was on Tuesday adjourned till Wednesday morning following uproar in the house over the issue of granting special status to Andhra Pradesh.

The Congress pressed for taking up of a private member’s bill for grant of special status to Andhra Pradesh.

"If members want discussion on Andhra Pradesh and what we need to do for state, the government is open for discussion. But, as far as bills are concerned, there are certain constraints in the Constitution," Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in the Rajya Sabha.
