Mother and child killed in Al Nusra attack in Syria

Beirut, July 25 (IANS/AKI) The Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front jihadist group's rocket attack on Syria's Aleppo city killed a woman and her young son, the state-run Sana news agency said on Monday.

The mother and her child died in the attack on the al-Khaldiyeh residential neighbourhood, Sana said, citing an unnamed source at Aleppo police headquarters.

Four civilians were injured when rebel groups shelled a residential district in the Eastern Ghouta area of the Syrian capital, Damascus, Sana also reported on Monday.
