Udhayanidhi Stalin, director Sasi to join hands

Chennai, March 17 (IANS) Actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin will next team up with director Sasi -- basking in the success of Tamil drama "Pichaikkaran" -- for a yet-untitled Tamil project slated to go on the floors later this year.

"Director Sasi has been finalised to direct Udhayanidhi in a new project, which will be bankrolled by Thenandal Films. The project will only go on the floors after Udhay completes working on his film with director Suseenthiran," a source told IANS.

According to the source, the directorial opportunity was first offered to young director Ashwin Saravanan of "Maya" fame.

"Ashwin was approached by producer Murali with the offer. However, the former felt he doesn't have a suitable script for Udhay," the source added.

Udhayanidhi currently has two Tamil projects, including "Manithan", a Tamil remake of "Jolly LLB" in his kitty.
